UPDATE NOV 9: I have added completed fundraiser pictures for Ayman freedom44's last food basket distribution. He said it was very hard to find available food because many grocery store aisles are empty. However, he did his best. He used a horse pulled wagon to distribute it because there's no fuel as well. The distribution was a success. He is now raising another 300 - this time for chicken and rice meals. He said this was available, however, the difficulty is in finding fuel to cook. He still wants to give this a try! Please prioritize his fundraiser (#3) right now.

Update OCT 26: People don't see a solution to the power outages right now. Freedom44 raised $300 for batteries but could not find any batteries to buy. Smile_Gaza wanted to fund a solar panel but that is not available either. A lot of stores in G4ZA are shut down and there is a scarcity of materials. So instead, people are focusing on the materials that are available to buy. Smile_Gaza (#4) is focusing on getting blankets, pillows, and batteries. Freedom44 (#3) is focusing on food. Please continue to support both of their fundraisers.

I've noticed a very troubling pattern. When I'm seeing people post "fr33 p4lestine" in my circles, I am not seeing that followed with material support. Please - we need to remember standing with and supporting our comrades means supporting financially or finding people who can. So many homes have been demolished. Over half of g4za is children, many of whom are hungry. F1n4ncial support is needed and necessary. I have the privelege of having a few p4lest1nians f0llow me over the last year or two in instagram. I am sharing ways you can get DIRECT support to them.

DISCLAIMER: I want to make it clear - yes, there are always risks with s3nding mon3y online. There may be a few cases where people may not deliver on their promise and they will take funds for themselves instead of redistributing the funds as promised. This is a r!sk that we take with m00tual 4id. However, I am willing to take that risk over doing nothing for P4L3STINE. Please keep in mind that similar issues happen with nonprofits as well...and if that issue happens within a nonprofit, it didn't even go to someone who is directly affected. All of the organizers listed in #1-3 are directly affected P4lestin!4ns living in G4ZA. That is why this is DIRECT 4!D. Also keep in mind that nonprofits aren't even allowed into p4lestin3 right now. He said he will provide the same type of photos as soon as he's able to buy materials from the $300 raised for this last campaign. He is posting direct updates on his IG on how nonprofits are not helping right now - not in ways that could actually stop the root of the problem. For example, there is a shortage of water because there is no fuel for water pumps. But instead of sending fuel, nonprofits sent water. That's a bandaid but not a solution. This is why we need to get DIRECT SUPPORT to people who are DIRECTLY AFFECTED.

Right now he is raising funds for a blanket, pillow, and mattresses for 25 people in his tent. Smile_Gaza initially wanted to raise funds for solar panels but decided not to. Check "withdrawn / completed fundraisers" section for more information. The reason smile_gaza didn't do the solar panel fundraiser is because solar panels are not available in gaza. No new materials are being delivered in, and a lot of stores are shut down. So, instead, he wants to get materials that are available, such as pillows, blankets and mattresses to the 25 people sleeping in his tent. This costs about $50 per person and the goal is $1250. Here is the picture of his tent and people sleeping on the floor behind him.

Of course sirens can go on land. We just need wheelchairs. A fish out of water can still survive, We are just disabled. But if you want to see me thrive, Catch me underwater, Flipping my fins  and rising with the tides. But when you are deprived Of the environment your body was made for, Like a fish out of water,  you fight to survive, While the conditions make you sicker and sicker. See, if you could only see, Me living in a community  of like minded souls, In homelands freed of their oppressors, In tune with the earth  at her core, Only then would you know  my true capability. I don’t like the word able bodied,  because my body is not the problem. Don’t you understand?  A fish out of water can still survive, We are just disabled, Of course sirens can go on land. We just need wheelchairs. I have been deprived  of the conditions  that would feed  my body and soul. My ancestors created  the best conditions to live in harmony  with the earth,  and in a network  of community.  An ecosystem  of nutrients  direct from the islands  to the body. Then their lands were taken over, Stolen, and extracted. As the native people were  plucked and dropped  into a poisonous environment, The earth plummeted  into further and further sickness. A fish out of water can still survive. We are just disabled. But you haven’t seen me in my full capacity. And you haven’t seen earth in her full glory. Living in this disconnection, both of us have fallen sick. But the environment  my ancestors speak of? It’s the opposite  of the apocalypse. I remind myself every day -  my body is not the problem. My body is deprived  of the conditions she needs, Like a fish out of water. I can’t go back to  what my ancestors speak of, And I don’t want to.  Because though the earth  was in better condition. Their systems had oppressions too.  But I wish I was in an environment Suited to my body. One that wasn’t so vehemently  against me. I wish I knew what that felt like.  So I imagine, and I ask my ancestors. Please show me the answers.  Help me remember.
