Casual Historian on Patreon (February 2019) - YouTube

Hi, my name is Grant Hurst, and welcome to Casual Historian.

I am the sole proprietor and creator of CasualHistorian.com, which publishes Articles, Podcasts, and Videos about history. Casual Historian started as a Blog back in 2015, and added Podcasts to its roster in 2016. But in 2018 I merged my personal YouTube channel with Casual Historian, and so now Videos are a part of the Casual Historian content line up.

The goal of Casual Historian is to fill in the gaps left from history class. Sometimes this takes the form of covering something you see in your typical history class but from a different angle, and sometimes this takes the form of covering subjects that would never be taught in a history class.

I strive to provide entertainment and education in all the things that I make. The way history is taught in schools today discourages students from pursuing deeper understandings of it. I want to be a supplement to what students learn in school, and to be an intellectual explorer for those who believe in the pursuit of knowledge.

I want to thank you for any support you give us, whether it is becoming a Patron here on Patreon, watching the videos, and especially sharing the videos. I do this because I enjoy it, but I want to do it better, and I can do that with your help.
